So...

...today I came across a spider web as I pulled out a sax to service. This is a sax that has been played in the last week, and in desperate need of a service, but still, being played.

The first time in 35 years playing saxophone and repairing & servicing since 2012, that I've seen a spider web on a saxophone. Right by the middle of the sax, between the lower and upper stacks.

Message of the day; weekly clean your sax, clarinet or flute. Inspect it - lookout for screws loose, for cork or felt out of place, for a reed stuck in the bell of your sax, for dust and thing sto be brushed off (traditional shaver brushes are great for general cleaning), but most of all:

Look out for spider webs!
